50 Lanterns

Fifty Lanterns International is a Minnesota-based nonprofit organization that partners with established humanitarian groups to provide disadvantaged communities with renewable energy sources such as solar-power lights, lanterns, and water pumps.

Ever since I heard about 50 Lanterns work, I have been finding ways to support them. I lead regular song circles that benefit their work (see calendar) and a recent CD (Coming Home -- see product catalog) also helps purchase solar technology for people in need.

A non-profit founded by Margaret Wheatley to support life-affirming leaders around the globe.

I am the “songstress” for the Women’s Leadership Revival Tour with Meg Wheatley. The tour benefits remarkable Berkana’s work.

Peter Block is an author, consultant and citizen of Cincinnati, Ohio. His work is about empowerment, stewardship, chosen accountability, and the reconciliation of community.

I have appeared with Peter a conferences and leadership retreats. He’s a brilliant thinker who isn’t afraid to ask the tough questions, especially about what creates communities that work.

Heartland's network and programs serve those called to be our social and organizational pioneers—those who are restoring wholeness to themselves, their organizations, and their communities.

I have been the 'muse's for Heartland's Thought Leader Gatherings in the Twin Cities for the past 6 years. I also make appearances at the Bay Area gatherings whenever I'm able. These gatherings have offered me rich insights and warm relationships as well as wonderful ideas for songs.

My friend, Nancy Stephan, founded HWW in 2006. Their events are first-rate -- and they were the sponsors for bringing the Women’s Leadership Tour with Meg Wheatley to the Twin Cities in May of 2007. Great programs, great vision.
