Full Voice Coaching -- for individuals & Pairs
Sessions are customized to meet each client's needs. They typically include:
Five Elements Framework: A full range vocal warm-up that opens up a menu of choices in how the voice can express.
Vocal Technique: Breath support, resonance, projection, and other basic techniques that make good sound simple to produce.
Singing: Singing opens up more range, color, and expressiveness in the voice, no matter how much musical experience or talent the client brings.
Presentation Preparation: We apply new-found vocal acuity to a specific speech or presentation.
Life Coaching: The voice frequently reflects aspects of what is happening in a person’s life. Sessions frequently include explorations into vocation, identity, power, visibility, vulnerability, and joy.
Practice Plans and Tools: Each client receives a customized plan to support continued practice and progress between sessions.

Would that I had known the power my voice had to liberate all that I have long desired to create. I play with it now with more reverence, more intention, more joy. Thank you for this gift. I am grateful beyond words.

Barbara was exactly the coach I needed to help me work through the voice issues affecting both my work and personal life. In contrast to my past efforts which were focused on technical voice fundamentals, Barbara took a holistic approach to understanding and addressing the voice challenges I was facing. Through singing and speaking exercises, and honest, insightful discussions around possible triggers and remedies, we uncovered a number of key insights and tactics that have enabled me to improve my voice and my confidence. Barbara was a true pleasure and inspiration to me.
I came to Barbara McAfee wanting to learn 'a song for every occasion.' I got that and so much more. Using the simple practices she offers in Full Voice, Barbara taught me how to fill a large hall with my voice, how to hear a chorus of voices and my own at the same time, and how to truly lift off and soar to the heavens. The Tibetans speak of body, mind, and voice, rather than body, mind, and spirit. This book offers wise guidance for opening our voices — and spirits — to their full expression.
